Bye, bye '03

Yup, we're done for the season. Some season, wasn't it? We have to admit that we lost lots of playing time because of the weather. Yet somehow, we made up for lost time. We played and frolicked and partied. And we have memories of a good, rich season. We'll forget the rained out dates, and we'll remember the killer backhand down the line for set point against our arch rivals.

We want to thank our contributors, especially photographers, Peter Maggs and Ken Turnbull. And we want to thank our on-line proof-readers. And our readers.

The annual Spring Opening Party and Meeting is usually held on the first Monday in March. Around that time, or a little bit before, we'll rouse ourselves and come back on line with whatever news we've gleaned from our numerous anonymous sources.

The website stays on-line all year, thanks to Bob Doyle and the good folks at SkyBuilders. And the year's newspages are archived and available; the links (to the weather and so on) will remain active.

See you soon.

We'll leave the tournament draws up. And again we'll offer our thanks to our Anonymous Friend, the Java Kid, for posting them and keeping them up to date.

Tournaments

And here's the saga of last year's tournaments (so's we can compare and contrast):

And the saga of the year before (we're mighty fancy here, and mighty grateful to the Java Kid for doing all this work):

Phew.

Here's a link to the espn site, with pro ranking.

And a club member (let's call him Sol) suggests a link to the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, R.I. The site is rich.

The information in the CTC book may also be found here on the website. The information is current. The waiting list for membership, as well as a list of new members is up to date. That information can be found through the 'FAQ' page. The 'Governors and Committees' page, and the 'Rules' page are also up to date.

'Members', and' Reservation Requests' are not active parts of the site nowadays. 'Timelines' is for adepts.

The Yearbook link will take you to the last newspage from 2002. From there you can see the whole of the Persistant Archive of last year's news.

Website Note: The time and temperature icon below is a link to a Boston weather site.

Joe DeBassio, Webmaster,

Website Note II: The honey-comb icon is also a link. It takes the clicker to an archive of all the past news pages so that you can read the news pages for the whole year (2001). The less-than link (<) next to the honeycomb icon will take you to the last issue of the newspage.

The letters below will waft the clicker to a translation program, so that you can see these deathless words translated to wonderfully unidiomatic French, Italian, etc. (You can use this program to translate web-pages other than the newspage.)
