Tennis Club News

"That time of year thou mayst in me behold
When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang
Upon those boughs which shake against the cold,
Bare ruin'd choirs, where late the sweet birds sang."

     -Shakespeare, Sonnet 73

Well....the tennis season, that sunny idyll, is over. The newsroom staff wants to thank all of our contributors, supporters, and readers.

The website, and this newspage will stay on the air, thanks to Bob Doyle and the techies at Skybuilders, through the winter. All the links, to the tournaments, the webmaster, the weather, and so on, will remain active.

The club wakes up in the early spring, in March. The opening meeting and party usually take place on the first Monday in March. As the date approaches, the newspage staff will awake also, and post the date. Yes, we'll stretch and yawn, and post the date. And any other news.

See you in the spring.

Tournaments

Here's the saga of last year's tournaments:

Here's a link to the espn site, with pro ranking.

Website Update:

The Governors and committees page, the Activities page (round robins, tournaments, etc), and the Rules page have all been updated.

Members, and Reservation Requests are not active parts of the site nowadays. Timelines is not for civilians.

The Yearbook link will take you to the last newspage from 2001. From there you can see the whole of the Persistent Archive of last year's news.

Website Note: The time and temperature icon below is a link to a Boston weather site.

Website Note II: The honey-comb icon is also a link. It takes the clicker to an archive of all the past news pages so that you can read the news pages for the whole year (2001). The less-than link (<) next to the honeycomb icon will take you to the last issue of the newspage.

The letters below will waft the clicker to a translation program, so that you can see these deathless words translated to wonderfully unidiomatic French, Italian, etc. (You can use this program to translate web-pages other than the newspage.)
